The Computer Society of Zambia is an association of professionals in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. However, membership is also open to ICT students and non-ICT professionals.It is a non profit making organization and whose membership is open to any ICT person or organization irrespective of nationality, religion, race or gender.The Society has a number of objectives most important of which is to be a Professional forum for persons and organisations directly or indirectly involved in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Zambia. |

- To provide an educational curriculum examination scheme for members of the Society.
- To encourage the creation of interest in, and awareness of information technology in the country.
- To provide a vehicle for advising the government and industry on information technology and informatics as well as its implications for the country.
- To establish, propagate and advance information technology standards.
- To represent Zambia, in international fora, as the professional body for the advancementof information technology.

The Computer Society of Zambia will host an ICT FAIR from 15th to 16th April, 2010. The theme of the fair is “ ICT – Driver for Social and Economic Development”. The Fair will be held at Mulungushi International Conference Centre New Wing and the Society is expecting His Excellency the Republican President Mr. Rupiah B. Banda to officially launch the Fair. Various presentations featuring the use of ICTs in various sectors will be conducted.
